1.  How soon can you start the job?  Next day after approved proposal.

2.  What should I look for when selecting a painting company? Make sure the company is licensed, bonded, and insured. Maintains good reviews and pictures of prior work. Provides detailed proposal of work scope and paint. Warranty. Provides specifications of paint methods. Requires a deposit of no more than 10% or $500.

3.  What do you do before applying the paint? Pressure Wash (exterior). Mask what needs to be covered. Complete repair work. Prime bare surfaces and patching. Sand substrates. Apply finishing coats.  

4.  Do you brush and roll or spray?  We do all three, depending on the surface.

5.  Are you licensed and insured? Yes, we have general & excess liability and workers compensation. Also being licensed and bonded.

6.  What relevant training and painting certifications do you have? Union and OSHA 30 training, RRP (lead and asbestos).

7.  Do you paint multi-story buildings? Yes

8.  How many coats of paint to use? General rule is 2 coats for color changes.

9.  Do you work irregular hours? Yes, we can work 7 days a week and night shifts.

10.  Do you give color recommendations? Yes, we also do color renderings for large scale jobs.

11.  Do you offer a warranty? Yes, we offer an industry leading 4 year workmanship warranty (peeling, bubbling, flaking due to normal wear and tear).

12.  What paint do you use? We use Sherwin Williams because we believe it to be a superior product with our experience in the field. The color stays looking newer for a longer period of time. We can also work with what our client prefers.

13.  Do you color match? Yes, we can. We have multiple methods- using a color deck or a color matching scope.

14.  What can you repair? Stucco, cement, wood, metal, fiberglass, brick, CMU

15.  Do you provide a free estimate? Yes

16.  Does Flex Painting have own crew or is painting subcontracted? We do have our own crew and never subcontract paint jobs.

17.  How long do most jobs take? It varies on size of job. Single story interior or exterior painting is about 3-7 days. 2 story interior or exterior is about 7 days.

18.  How much experience do you have? 9 years total with 6 years’ experience in the union local 1036.

19.  Do you require a deposit? If the job is no more than $10k we will not require a deposit before starting job. If it is over $10K we will ask for first payment after supplies are purchased and painting begins. The second payment will be when the job is complete.

20.  What areas do you service? LA, OC, Inland Empire, Beach Areas. Open to traveling depending on the job.
